Well...the appointment at the reoccurring miscarriage specialist did not go as well as we had hoped.
We found out that I do NOT have a thyroid problem. You might wonder why this isn't great news?!?! Well, when the nurse told me 'one of your counts is high,' I felt an instant sense of relief. At least this was an answer. Now...the doctor said that my thyroid isn't bad...I don't have an auto-immune disease...my hormone levels are right where they are supposed to be. So, now we are back at square one. We don't have any more answers, than we had at the beginning of all of this. The doctor is suggesting that we do a couple of more tests but we have decided against it. Both of the tests are fairly invasive and we just don't want to go to that extreme anymore. I guess this is just one more question I have on my list to talk to God about when I meet him!
On a brighter note, Lilli had a wonderful play date with Kyle Huhnke this weekend. Ben helped Brandon and Lindsay move some stuff this weekend so the kids got to play. This was Lilli's first play date with a boy. She was in usual Lilli form...dominating the entire date. I don't think Kyle knew what to think of her. They both had fun and Lilli sleep well that night!
We have a busy couple of weeks coming up. We are looking forward to all of the Easter celebrations!!

University of Chicago
Also...I forgot to post that my 'big' appointment is this Thursday at the University of Chicago. We go to see Dr. Stephenson again. It looks like these miscarriage problems may be caused by my thyroid. We are hoping and praying that she can give us some answers and some treatment options! Please pray with us about this!
My first blog

Good morning! I hope this blog finds all of you doing well.
This has been a very busy couple of weeks at our house.
Ben took me to La Romana in the Dominican Republic for my 30th birthday. We stayed at a 'Dreams' resort. It was so much nicer than Sandal's. The resort was very nice and clean. The pools and the food were fantastic. And the ocean/beach were breath taking. We can not say enough good things about the vacation. It was so restful and stress free. We did miss Lilli very much though!!! But we knew she was in good hands with her grandparents.
Lilli learned the words "Grandma, Grandpa, Cocka-doodle-do (comes out more like Cocckaaadooo), and Burp (thanks Grandpa) while she was with my parents. She had a fantastic time with Grandma Bobbi and Grandpa Bob!
We got back on Sunday night and found out on Tuesday that my cousin, Starli, was very ill. To make a long story short, she had not been her self for probably 5 or 6 years. But we all just chalked it up to being depressed since her father had passed. It turns out that she was slowly dying from a disease called Addison's disease. By the time it was diagnosed it was too late. We buried Starli on Sunday afternoon. I was blessed to be able to speak at Starli's funeral. It was sooo hard to get up and speak when I had so many emotions running thru me but I knew it was the right thing to do. Starli will be terribly missed! But I am conforted to know that she is back with her Daddy in Heaven!
Needless to say, we are looking forward to life slowing down a bit. We are ready for SPRING!!! Lilli is ready to play outside.
